By
1993 a decision was made.
Ron Kapoor's son Rishi Kapoor
joined the business fresh
from college. having spent
much of his childhood at
the company decided it was
only natural to join. So
from that year it was decided
the company was to move forward
again with a new enthusiasm.
A further member of management
was introduced to help with
the sales aspect and the
day to day running of the
business. While Ron Kapoor
took a back seat in the business.

After
a year Rishi Kapoor took
control under the watchful
eye of his father, whose
advice and knowledge
was invaluable. It was
a perfect combination.
New equipment was installed
gradually and staffing
levels increased. The
company started to expand
its delivery and collection
areas and buying larger
delivery and collection
vehicles. By
1995 the company achieved
iso9000
accreditation. |
From
1993 to 1995 staggeringly
sales doubled. The
business began focussing
their
business making changes
and started
to specialise in volume
zinc as well as the
additional processes offered.
The
company by this time
employing 26 members of
staff. By
2000 the company acquired
BPGK Limited in Biggleswade
the nearest local competitor.
Thus doubling its since
plating capacity. The
company ran from two sites
for
two and a half years.
The Biggleswade
site being
made profitable after
the first
4 months of take over.
By
2002 the company decided
to further expand again and
built a further 5000sqft
extension behind its existing
factory in Sandy. The plating
operation in Biggleswade
was closed and the old barrel
line in Biggleswade factory
scrapped and a refurbished
fully automatic 2 transporter
barrel line was purchased
to go into the new building
in Sandy. In addition the
auto zinc vat line in Biggleswade
was dismantled and most of
the old tanks were scrapped
and the line was totally
refurbished, extending the
capacity on it. The decision
was made to move from Biggleswade
as this was a rented building
and it seemed sensible to
have the entire operation
on one site. By the 2003
the new operation was fully
operational. The companies
effluent plant was also expanded
to keep with new legislation
as well.
Work
started and company found
that being under one site
was a much better move
than the previous two sites.
By
2006 it was decided to
purchase a fischer x ray
testing machine.
This enabled Kypol to offer
full testing services enabling
it to do defence work and
medical to exacting standards.By
2007 the industrial estate
was put up for auction
and additional land behind
Kypol
and adjacent to the railway
was up for auction. Rishi
Kapoor decided to purchase
this for
future expansion or investment
for the business.
